The Tea House of the Rising Sun

“Greetings Kind Gentles, every year AnachroCon sponsors  a small alcohol free hospitality room known to the staff as “the lounge”. Each year we give it a new name to reflect the theme of the convention. This year it shall be called “The Tea House of the Rising Sun”. As usual we will be providing coffee, tea and a small amount of nibbles starting at 9:00 am in the morning (including Friday morning). There is background music and a quiet atmosphere for those who wish to just get away for a bit. We will once again be offering a few classes. This year we are pleased to offer classes in things like soap making, cold water tye dye, and making pickles. The lounge is truly a volunteer community effort. We always welcome a donation of your favorite homemade baked goods and volunteers to teach home crafts.
The Tea House of the Rising Sun is pleased to host the Silent Auction again this year and we hope you will come by to help us raise money to fight Parkinson’s disease.
See you all soon.”
Thanks ya’ll,
Tammie

Greetings Kind and Gentle Friends,
I’m all a whirl with anticipation, I just can’t wait to get the party started. We at the Tea House of the Rising Sun, and in all the departments of Anachrocon, are in the midst of finalizing our schedules and plans. We’ve shifted and tinkered and rearranged and think we have a great weekend planned. Huzzah. In the Tea room we will give you a chance to meet our GoH Christopher Stasheff, learn about soap, hear a nice spot of live music, and even more. On Saturday we will even have a bit of Mardi Gras fun. I’ll be cutting a King Cake at 10 am, 2 pm, and 6pm. If you get the baby (or bean) you can turn it in for a prize.  Ya’ll come see me at The Tea House of the Rising Sun and let’s visit a bit.
