Philip Greco

Phil Greco is a historian who loves the past and enjoys watching historical based TV & film programs that bring history alive. When watching these programs, he finds it interesting and entertaining on how accurate they can be when compared to real events. Along with studying the past, Phil enjoys discussing alternative history or “what if” moments. Especially, theorizing how events could have turned out differently and their ramifications.

Phil grew up in New York and after high school, he attended the School of Visual Arts with an emphasis on photography. Two years into the program he realized that making a living in photography would be difficult, so he enrolled as a history major at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights.  At St. Francis, he earned his BA in history and an associate’s degree in business administration. Phil’s special areas of interest in history include WWII, Ancient Rome and Egypt, and the Medieval time periods.  Besides enjoying history, Phil is an avid photographer and a professional user experience leader.

Maks Schleuter

His Viking credentials are equally impressive having literally died saving a Viking ship! He was military advisor, actor, and stuntman on the PBS timeline series “The Vikings.” He also sailed Viking ships in the Baltic, fought live blade and sharps at the famous Mosegard Viking Event in Denmark, been a personal Viking guard to Prince Andrew in England. He has also been deeply involved in Norse/Baltic/Kievian religious study for over 40 years, having worked with friends such as John Yeowell (Stubba) and Freya Aswynn.
